This lustrous and gemmy Elbaite crystal from the famed Cruzeiro Mine in Brazil exhibits a subtle, two-toned pink color and it frankly looks like it was carved of glass. The crystal is gem from end to end and it's dominated by pastel pink color for 1 cm at the top end and 2 cm on the bottom end with the palest pink area in between that approaches Achroite. This incredibly lustrous, lightly striated Elbaite crystal has sharp prism faces and a near-perfect trigonal pyramid termination. One of the faces on the termination has just a touch of Albite that was intergrown with the crystal in the pocket that doesn't detract from the crystal's striking luster and color. This beauty has a mass of 8.36 grams. Old material from the multigenerational family collection of the late Rolando Gioia and his son Bruno, also a current gem dealer in Brazil.
