This sharp specimen has the glassiest luster and richest purple color you could ask for in a Weardale purple fluorite specimen. The display quality is superb, and the crystals stand out much better in person than in the pics. They are to 1.5 cm in size. Note also the classic interpenetration twinning evident in the close-ups. It is a true worldwide classic, of the old English fluorites that lent their name to the very phenomenon of fluorescence when it was noted.
