Superb, stunning, cherry red Rhodochrosite crystals to nearly 3cm in length comprise this perfectly composed toenail from the Kalahari Manganese Field! These sharp, juicy, gemmy Rhodochrosite crystals from the classic early 1980's find had the best color and size combination - with this specimen a prime example! This is as nearly pristine as you can get , with only a few nicked crystal tips and no messy contacting of broken crystals around the periphery as in many of these. Nearly all had some damage at the time of collecting (circa 1980), and this has less than most, in other words. It is very elegant with top cherry color and striking gemminess as well as high luster! Incredibly aesthetic display qualities and much better in person! Ex. Jim Boteler collection.
