A significant rarity with a relatively large Florencite-(Ce) crystal on Magnesite with Quartz. This elegant little display specimen is perfectly composed with a doubly terminated, rose to pale pink, Florencite-(Ce) crystal emplaced on a sharp rhomb of Magnesite measuring a maximum of 2 cm on edge, itself beautifully accented with a small spray of bright, water-clear Quartz crystals to 8 mm. Other smaller Magnesite and Quartz crystals are present around the periphery of the piece. Perfect balance and composition. From the important magnesite deposits at Brumado, Bahia, Brazil that were discovered in 1939 and mined continuously since, this is a rare specimen. As fitting the aesthetics-first style of this collection, it is a real beauty amongst others of the sort, if you can even find a good one! Note this is a small miniature but could be a "boxbuster" thumbnail size as well. Illustrated in Mineral Collections of Brazil, 2020, page 121.
