Spessartine garnets are not rare, but in this size they are, and go for hundreds. This one is isolated on matrix, with a quartz crystal behind it and an accenting muscovite right beside it. The spessartine measures just under 2 cm across. It has fine deep red color and sharp, lustrous faces!
