Epidotes from the famous old locality of Knappenwand are renowned for their quality. This prismatic pair of crystals has excellent, glassy luster and is gemmy throughout. The Epidotes have a dark honey color, with a hint of green, particularly along the surface. There are some spots along the crystal where is was contacted with Albite and show slight attachment points, but the overall condition is excellent. A fine Epidote cluster, and much more gemmy in person, with backlighting.
