This is another bright and very interestingly multicolored tourmaline from old finds in Madagascar. Two crystals in top are gemmy red-green-blue and rise to a perfect and incredibly glassy parallel termination. Although the piece is brilliantly colorful and atttractive from the front display, please note the rear, fat red crystal attached to the two frontal crystals is broken on top (hence a much lower price). still and all, a beautiful piece from an old classic locale. A fair portion of value here is in cutting rough, for which $1000 was paid for it at a St Marie show in the 1990s by the previous owner (one of two crystals from the same pocket: see also the previous specimen). ex Pala Intl.
