This elongated crystal of red uvite is one of the finest examples of this species variety I have seen - ever - and has been in my mind for decades. It is a stunning miniature with unusual geometry and a dark wine-red color, unusual for the species in such size. It is featured in a small print-run book on the Halpern Collection called "The Reds and the Golds," 2010. Jack obtained it in 1995. Comes with a custom display base.
