This is a beautiful example from a very rare and old US classic occurrence. From the well-known collection of Bart Cannon, this is an approx 4 x 4 x 2.5 cm ilvaite crystal showing both terminations, locked snugly into hedenbergite matrix on its back faces. The crystal is robust and sharp, and unusually lustrous.
