A very fine and highly unusual specimen of a sculptural, vuggy crust of translucent slag lined with scintillating, gemmy, amber to reddish-orange, secondary zincite crystals (formed from the smelt mix in a furnace). This strange, but very beautiful specimen was recovered from New Jersey Zinc Co. Smelter in Palmerton, Pennsylvania and is probably old-time material. Very seldom available.
