This is a classic Siberian style botryoidal malachite, complete nearly all around and very 3-dimensional. Unlike most of them that survive today, it is not sawed to show the patterns inside, not polished, not buffed, and generally unscathed by time (except for the most small wear). An old label glued to the underside of the specimen says "Russ Slg. 1803" and gives a catalogue number. The piece is mass of 350 grams. Ex Herb Obodda Collection
