The matrix and form of this azurite specimen immediately identifies it as being from finds in the early mining of Tsumeb during the late 1800s or early 1900s as does the collection they came in, so it is QUITE a rarity! Beyond this, this pocket extracted whole contains some truly excellent crystals: sharp, elongated blades that are lustrous, with good blue color, and up to 1.5 cm in length.
