This is a BIG, 78-carat, colorless, translucent sapphire (corundum if you prefer) crystal that was found in the gem gravels of Sri Lanka. It has PERFECT textbook form and symmetry, and it complete and doubly-terminated. Inside the crystal, you can see crystal INCLUSIONS of a shiny sulphide! The tapered form up to the perfect pointy termination make this a really dramatic crystal, and what remarkable size for a sapphire crystal!
