Baryte
Although common enough from this locale, most baryte roses are not much to write home about. This one is actually quite nice for several reasons: good color, very aesthetic sculptural form like a flower, and it is a pristine floater in a good size range for collectors. These form as baryte crystals grow in the presence of the sand, and include sand particles inside during that growth. They are baryte by heft, but have a sandy texture to them. This one has a very unusual flowery form to it. Ex. Harold Urish Collection.
