An extremely unusual combo specimen from Kazakhstan, of good size! This fascinating piece is a free-standing intergrowth of purple and gray fluorite octahedrons with quartz crystals, both conventional in form and tabular. Pyrite here and there adds a sparkly golden accent that does not come through very well in the pics. Fluorite octahedrons alone from Kazakhstan are exceptional, and this sculptural piece with quartz is rare indeed. Ex. Ed David Collection.
