A perfect hexagonal gem morganite - classic from old brazil! These were found, I believe, in the 1960s. In any case it is an old style. This is nearly a complete floater, terminated all around. As is typical for the deposit, this morganite crystal is encrusted with slender, dark, black schorl crystals at the periphery. The luster is glassy and the crystal is gemmy along with exhibiting a rich pink color. There is even a faint color zoning near the crystal edges. The Urucum mine deposit has arguably produced some of the finest morganite crystals in existence, of which this is a superb example in this size range! The mass is 551 grams. BETTER IN PERSON. If interested, we will send a custom video to fully convey the color, luster, and gemminess.
