Fine crystals of spessartine from a little-known Baja California locality - from a fine suite of garnets in the personal collection of Bill Larson that included many from rarer localities. The largest crystal here measures 1.3 cm. The crystals are nicely exposed and really stand out against the contrasting stark white matrix.
