Gemmy and lustrous, flattened, yellow-green chrysoberyl blades to 1.4 cm are nicely concentrated on the muscovite schist plate matrix on this classic, old-time specimen from an uncommon Czech Republic locality - Marchendorf, Moravia. The general area produced the first chrysoberyl recognized in Europe in 1819. The collection this came out of was a museum stash dating to prior to World War I.
