This gemmy and lustrous elbaite crystal exhibits the classic color gradation of the locality, for which this is one of the most stereotypical pockets ever found (early 1980s). At the base there is a light blue-grey hue which shades into a light pink, which in turn becomes a dark reddish color culminating in cranberry-rich red color at the pyramidal termination.
