A beautiful specimen that leaps out at you, with riveting color! This is a cluster of glassy and gemmy, deep-glowing-green demantoid crystals, to 1 cm across. The garnet spread, in 3 dimensions, contrasts nicely with the whitish, massive garnet matrix. The largest crystal exhibits incipient hopper growth, rarely seen in the garnet family of minerals. Overall, this specimen has a good 3-dimensionaliy and even a bit of a curve to it, and is much more impressive in person. It is one of our favorites in the lot.
