Glittering, very attractive set of primary Malachite stalactites from the Democratic Republic of Congo (formally Zaire). The Malachite is multi-generational, likely starting as soda straws since the stalactites have a narrow, hollow tubes in the middle. After the many layers of Malachite were deposited, a final, sparkling layer of mm-size Malachite crystals grew. They even coated, quite effectively, the end of the one stalactite whose tip was missing before that growth occurred. It actually adds nice variety to the piece. Very good aesthetics, and much better in person, even.
