A CLASSIC, OLD-TIME collection of 5, lustrous, indigo-blue boleite cubes to 9 mm from the famous Amelia Mine at Boleo, Mexico. A couple of the crystals are contacted on the back. The boxed set comes with a Dr. A.E. Foote label, a very well-known worldwide dealer, who died in 1895. These pieces were collected during active mining in the late 19th century. Ex Richard Hauck Collection. I have NEVER seen boleite that can be genuinely verified to have come from the very earliest workings of the mine before, in the 1800s, as opposed to the material found in a few spurts in the 1970s or 1980s! 0.9 x 0.8 x 0.5 cm
