Interesting and unusual combination piece from the famous Yaogangxian Mine in China. The original Bournonite crystal, of which the termination and one of the crystal edges is still quite evident, has been partially altered into a dense nest of splendent, metallic needles of Boulangerite. Among these needles can be seen faces of highly lustrous Bournonites, and there is a gemmy Quartz crystal and a number of brassy Chalcopyrites that enrich the combination. This fine, representative miniature has good aesthetics and very high mineralogical interest.
