A superb, highly modified floater crystal that shows unusual symmetry and perfection of the surface. The surface alteration to malachite is complete, without scratches or fading. It is a gorgeous example of this classic old material from the 1800s. However, more than that, the complex crystal habit makes it stand out from the crowd of generally simple octohedral crystals and is simply one of the most interesting I have had. This look slike a crystal carving! It carries an old label from Hugh Ford, dated 1946-1957. Recently in the collection of Lawrence Conklin. It seems pricey for a thumbnail of these, maybe, but all I can say is that it is truly superior, seen in person, and relatively large as well
