This specimen represents the absolute TOP you can get in quality for these exciting new pink fluorites, and it is a LARGE plate to boot! Occasionally, such as with this specimen, you get the clarity of a good Alpine piece, with an even finer deep pink color than they have! These fine octahedrons measure up to 1.5 cm across. What is more, the contrasting matrix appears here and there to add a nice accent. Until these pink fluorites were discovered in Mexico, Peru and the Alps were the only sources for pink fluorite, and the cost of a specimen such as this was (and still is) astronomical from those localities. In fact, one this size and quality is just unobtainable. Better in person - among the best we have ever had for crystal clarity and color. 12.2 x 10.6 x 3.4 cm
