Yes, this is a natural specimen of chrysocolla. This was a find not too long back at the copper-rich L'Etoile Mine in Congo, of chrysocolla that is so strange and pretty you can hardly believe it is real. The botryoidal surface looks like molten plastic, and is an intense, deep robin's-egg blue.
