Very glassy and lustrous, smoky quartz crystals to 2.3 cm are aesthetically scattered on mounded CABINET matrix covered with sparkly, black hematite blades on this CLASSIC, OLD-TIME and showy specimen from the famous Florence Mine of Egremont, England. The matrix is fascinating in itself, being rounded, matte-finish galena. A couple of the quartz crystals are very lightly bruised or contacted, but this remains an excellent representation of these species from a famous locality and looks good from several points of view. Ex. George Elling Collection.
