A cluster of slightly lavender, translucent "books" of bladed lepidolite from the Himalaya - really not all that common from this classic locality, as compared to Brazil. These flashy, silvery crystals are compressed "books" of wafer-thin sheets, pressed so closely that if you look at them from the side they look like translucent, light lavender single crystals. Ex. Chuck Houser Collection.
