This specimen is totally composed of lustrous and translucent spheres, to 3 mm across, of sky blue gibbsite, an uncommon aluminum hydroxide. Surprisingly lightweight. This new pocket has produced some of the most colorful and beautiful examples of the species, and this was the best thumbnail I saw for sale in a whole table of the material laid out at the Shanghai show in April 2012. It is a compelte floater, all around, and seems to have a thin layer of a glossy, clear mineral (clear gibbsite, aragonite, or maybe hyalite opal) coating some spherules.
