This cluster of doubly-terminated crystals came form the earlier finds here, in the late 1990s, and was purchased for its unique architecture form a crowd of pieces available at that time. It was purchased by Dr. Ed David, former science advisor to President Nixon and a chair of the White House Science Office, and carries a Cal Graeber label, and he owned it until 2005. True, more have come out since then, but this remains aesthetic and interesting, novel for its complex geometry that creates a pocket in the middle of the piece. Notably, also, the recently found material has a very different aesthetic to it, consisting of more discrete, pseudo-octahedral crystals compared to this very complex style found previously at the deposit.
