These strange and uncommon "fried egg" fluorites from Nasik are popular with collectors. Not many come out; in fact, botryoidal fluorite is rare from anywhere. This "egg" stands well up off the matrix rather than being embedded in it, and it has unusual transparency to it as well. Measures 2.7 cm across, on a matrix of sparkly quartz.
