A classic specimen of Sphalerite from the old Tri-State mining district, circa 1930s-1950s, that was illustrated as the example of this important economic and colelctible species in John's book, Mineralogy for Amateurs. Sold to George Feist fro mJohn's personal collection (see labels), whose collection I recently purchased.
