A classic USA find, this mine was producing briefly in the late 1990s and then was shut down and reclaimed. Today they remain among the most desired USA metallic species. Sharp crystals of this quality were always uncommon, and this is a choice cluster. Iridescent, intergrown crystals of chalcocite, to 2 cm across, form an attractive cluster. Ex David Schorsch collection.
