This is a lustrous and translucent alexandrite, showing excellent color change: where the color purple or green shows off in fluorescent vs incandescent lights. It is sharp, twinned, balanced and equant, and lustrous! These are old classics. This particular piece was in the Jim Houran collection and exhibited in the Munich Show exhibition of "African Treasures" and of "Thumbnail treasures" theme years. 5.5g, 27.6 ct.
