This lovely opal specimen features a snow white body color with many pinpoint flashes of blue, green and orange. Visually compelling! It is a fine example of the classic opal from Europe (1600s-1800s), which was among the world's best before discoveries in Australia and Nevada. Such specimens are hard to find today! This would have been considered a VERY expensive, jewelry grade sample at the time. Note the old label.
