Attractive, single blade of deep-blue Azurite, on matrix. This 2.7 cm crystal has very good luster with excellent translucence, and the green of the matrix provides an appealing color contrast. Being relatively soft, it is quite common for Azurite crystals to have some sort of edge wear or chipping, as you see here. It is the nature of the beast, but the color is so uniform that the aesthetics are only minimally affected.
