The historic deposit of Pulsifer has arguably produced the finest, purple fluorapatite crystals. This large TN-sized gem features two glassy and translucent, bicolored, intensely colored purple crystals, to 2 cm across. They are both perched on a bit of matrix. Rarely available these days and just beautiful! Ex. Kay Robertson collection and purchased by her in the early 1970s from famous dealer Walt Lidstrom. This is a large and imposing thumbnail, and has excellent deep color. It is complete on the front display view and sides, although the rear crystal is contacted on back so it is not quite a floater. It presents dramatically in a case and is obviously "a Pulsifer," and from the great 1960s finds by Szenics as related in Bancroft's book, Gem & Crystal treasures, one of the Holy Grails of USA mineral collecting.
