Quite possibly from the Dzhezkazgan mining district's big Silver discovery of 1989-1990 (Shafts #46 or #55), this delicate and highly attractive cluster of Silver wires is nothing less than marvelous in aesthetics. Sitting atop a Calcite crystal, these looping wires are coated with a thin layer of Acanthite which gives them a dark, dramatic flair. The balance and symmetry between the wires, indeed between the Silver and Calcite as well, create a superb aesthetic. One pic tells it all. This is old material. As a note, of course it looks like the silver was glued on but it seems to be real, and does not come off in acetone - it is slightly embedded in the calcite.
