This is one of the prime examples of the classic and much sought after red vanadinite on white baryte from Morocco. This is a straggler from the best pocket. It is a gorgeous miniature composed of a mound of off-white baryte blades topped by gemmy to translucent, brilliant red vanadinite crystals in an elongate, very three-dimensional cluster with the largest being a gem crystal measuring 1.5 cm across with super high luster. The off-white crystalline baryte matrix provides optimum contrast for the fiery red, hexagonal vanadinite crystals. Some of the vanadinite crystals display fiery orange and yellow flashes on their side faces and edges. An incredible geometric array of vanadinite from the world's classic locality for the species. We have all seen thousands of vanadinite specimens over the last 25 years and this style and association is the most highly prized. A very well balanced and colorful piece that comes with a custom acrylic base.
