Outstanding, and complementary, a pair of crystals of the complex silicate Carletonite. The upright, prismatic crystal has a beautiful, violet-blue color and is GEMMY, while the more cubic crystal has a core that is a rich shade of cornflower blue. Both have great luster, and are gorgeous and intriguing in their own way. Mont Saint-Hilaire, one of the most famous mines in the world, is the Type Locality for Carletonite, as well as many other species. Kay noted that she obtained these directly from the collector, Gilles Hainneult, in 1988 after the find.
