These Ukrainian heliodors generally are considered to set the standard for the species, and they certainly look gorgeous in a display case with their brilliant luster and gemminess. This one is exceptional on both counts! However, beyond that, it has a really SHARP termination that is almost unheard of in beryls from this deposit. Most are etched heavily and the terminations look worn. This preserves a sharp pyramidal termination with some faces. It has intricate etching patterns with the negative faces. Specimens like this one with the sharper point, they command a premium as they are 1 in 100. Ex. Dr. HJ Wilke collection from Germany, an old piece from the older finds in the 1980s. Comes with custom lucite base.
