At one time scheelite specimens from this deposit were the standard for the species prior to the discovery of the more colorful Chinese pieces. That said, they are still classics! This is a very sharp 3.3 cm long, lustrous and slightly translucent cluster of brown crystals that should be rare and coveted by collectors as we do not see such things come up for sale often. Ex. Cynthia Payne collection. Associated sulfide crystals (wolframite, I assume) are present on the backside.
