Large, lustrous and translucent, this beautiful polychrome elbaite crystal is a purple-capped delight! The majority of the crystal a turbid, translucent zoned watermelon with a pink core and a light green rim that transitions to 5 mm medium green zone, topped brusquely by a 0.5 mm blue-green zone, then a 1.1 mm magenta layer, followed by 3 mm purple cap! Sensational! The prism faces are very lustrous and the pedion termination is matte. Minor chipping locally and there is a druse of fine elbaite on the backside. A hefty and robust polychrome elbaite from Paprok! Weight is 134 grams.
