A beautiful and aesthetic cluster of lustrous and translucent, green, Hedenbergite-included Quartz "prase" from Serifos Island, Greece. Five large, pristine crystals comprise the cluster and there are several smaller Prase Quartz crystals either in parallel growth or oriented at an obtuse angle on some of the larger crystals. There are also two, small, dark brown rosettes of Clinochlore at the base of the cluster for added interest. This is a showy, complete all-around cluster with crystals to 4.5cm in length. Old classics! These were mined in the late 1980's and early 1990's and again recently (though I believe this style is older) in a skarn on the island of Serifos, Greece, and are among the most unusual and fascinating included quartz crystals of their kind.
