Cornetite is a rare, hydrated copper phosphate. This very fine, vuggy specimen in chrysocolla matrix is filled on five sides with very blocky and botryoidal scintillating, vivid teal-blue cornetite microcrystals. A striking and beautiful combination specimen, as the variable colors of chrysocolla are a fine compliment to the teal-blue cornetite. This fine piece, from a new find is from the type locality - the famous Star of the Congo Mine.
