From a small and remarkable find at the N'Chwaning a few years ago, this is PREHNITE! It initially was thought to be inesite until analyzed. But no, its prehnite, the first from the Kalahari fields in fact and of very unusual color caused by the presence of so much manganese. Usually they are orange. This one is red, a definite red, and a slam dunk ringer for a Wessels mine inesite (but it is not!). The small crystals form a crystallized halo around a central massive core.
