A classic, old-time specimen of botryoidal, green malachite in a vug from the famous Copper Queen Mine of Bisbee, Arizona. The exposed open faces of the malachite show the chatoyant, banded nature of the malachite, which, to me adds character to this piece. This piece has to be around 100 years old. Ex Ben Williams Collection (he was mine manager in the 1890s! the collection turned up around 1999 and was sold to Bill Larson, from whom I lived just down the road and purchased pieces) 5.2 x 4.1 x 2.8 cm
