This is an EXCEPTIONAL pink fluorite specimen. It is from a recent batch we were thrilled to get, with gemmy crystals, and a few (like this one) have the cluster isolated on surrounding stark white matrix (these are hard to get!). Until these pink fluorites were discovered in Mexico, Peru and the Alps were the only sources for pink fluorite, and the cost of a specimen such as this was (and still is) astronomical from those localities. Occasionally, such as with this particular piece, you get the wonderful clarity of an Alpine piece (actually, gemmier and with deeper color). These octahedrons measure up to 1.5 cm. 10 x 9.1 x 3 cm
