A classic, superb combination specimen from Panasqueira, Portugal and the Dr. Gary Hansen Collection. Sharp, lustrous and gemmy, green, hexagonal apatite crystals to 1.3 cm are aesthetically attached in a cluster and as isolated individuals on glassy, transparent to translucent, diverging, parallel-growth quartz crystals. The double quartz termination is striking and the dusting of sparkly, chalcopyrite microcrystals on the apatites is a nice accent. This is an outstanding, nearly pristine combo piece from this very well-known locale. This choice specimen dates to the 1970s or very early 1980s.
