There was a BIG stir when word got out about this brand new find of azurite and malachite (mostly azurite) in Mexico. The vast majority of them do not rival Tsumeb or Morocco specimens, so you cannot fairly hold them to the same standard. But considering this, you have to really admire this specimen, which is extremely aesthetic for the find. Not only are the crystals of azurite very bright and lustrous, but they are accented with a couple of isolated patches of velvety, micro-acicular malachite. A fine example from this exciting find!
